Frequently Asked Questions

Find Out More
  • Can a longer hose be fitted to the heater?

Yes, the standard hose on a heater is 1.5m, the longest hose available is 3m.

  • What if my heater cuts out or is hard to start?

    It definitely requires a service.

  • How often should my heater be serviced?

Ideally every 2-3 years, unless there is a visual or mechanical problem with the heater.

  • Why does my heater smell?

Heaters will give off a different smell for a number of reasons. Mainly it is a reaction to something within the house. For example, if you have recently painted or varnished within your home, the heater will burn the fume through itself and it will be similar to the smell of kerosene. Even oven cleaner floor polishes, new furniture, carpet and nail polish can have a similar reaction with the heater. In time this will disappear.

  • How do you remove the heater hose from the bayonet?

Simply push in and turn to the left anti clockwise, same principle as removing a light globe to reconnect. You can also smear a little vaseline on the end to make it easier and push it in a turn clock wise.
